Personal Details of Thousands of Border Patrol and ICE Goons Allegedly Leaked in Huge Data Breach
A DHS whistleblower appears to have exposed data on federal immigration workers after the shooting of Renee Good
Sensitive details of around 4,500 ICE and Border Patrol employees—including almost 2,000 agents working in frontline enforcement—have allegedly been released by a Department of Homeland Security whistleblower following last week’s fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good.
The Jan. 7 killing of the mother by ICE agent Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has sparked nationwide protests and worldwide outrage, including among some DHS employees.
The alleged leak to ICE List, a self-styled “accountability initiative,” is believed to be the largest ever breach of DHS staff data. It appears to include names, work emails, telephone numbers, roles, and some resumé data, including previous jobs of federal immigration staff.
ICE List founder, Dominick Skinner, told the Daily Beast: “It is a sign that people aren’t happy within the U.S. government, clearly. The shooting [of Good] was the last straw for many people.”
According to Skinner, who leads the volunteer-run website, the dataset includes about 1,800 on-the-ground agents and 150 supervisors. Early analysis by the organization suggests that around 80 per cent of the staff identified remain employed by DHS.

It’s not on display at the Capitol, as is required by law. Its whereabouts aren’t publicly known, though it’s believed to be in storage.
Determined to preserve the nation’s history, some 100 members of Congress, mostly Democrats, have taken it upon themselves to memorialize the moment. January 06, 2026 – A preschool teacher was arrested on camera as soon as she finished a TV interview criticizing Donald Trump, fueling the debate over protest policing and free speech.
Jessica Plichta, 22, said she was the only person arrested among roughly 200 demonstrators at an anti-war protest in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday, hours after Nicolas Maduro was detained in Caracas by the U.S. military.
In the broadcast footage, two officers could be seen approaching from behind as she wrapped her interview with WZZM, the city’s ABC affiliate, then escorted her away as she told them, “I am not resisting arrest.”
She also said officers repeatedly pressed her on whether she was Venezuelan, what her connection to Venezuela was, and why she had attended the protest. Plichta claimed they tried to get her to identify other demonstrators.

The U.S. has fallen from third to ninth place in the global ranking for support of free speech rights since 2021, according to a new study published by the Future of Free Speech at Vanderbilt University.
The annual study, titled “Who in the World Supports Free Speech?” surveyed over 52,000 people about their support for free speech policies in 33 countries in October 2024.
This year’s findings show the U.S. has the third largest decline in support for free speech rights in the world, just behind Israel and Japan.
Plichta later told Zeteo: “I don’t think it’s a coincidence that as soon as I finished an interview speaking on Venezuela, I was arrested.”
She told the outlet the officers shoved her into the back of a patrol car without fastening her seat belt, then drove a short distance down the street—out of view of cameras and bystanders.

According to Plichta, they stopped again, pulled her out, bent her over the vehicle, patted her down, and took her belongings. She recalled one officer saying they moved her because she was “making a scene.”
“It just shows how much they feel they can get away with things, how easy it is for them to isolate people from the public eye when they’re doing this.”
Plichta said she largely stayed quiet as officers took her to jail, where she said the same questions continued. She was released about three hours later, after other protesters gathered to demand she be freed and was seen punching the air in a video shared on Facebook.

A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper bumped South Carolina wide receiver Nyck Harbor and scolded him after Harbor scored a touchdown late in the first half of the Gamecocks’ game at Texas A&M.
Texas DPS – After Harbor pulled away from Aggies defenders on the way to an 80-yard touchdown, he slowly jogged up a tunnel while favoring his hamstring. As teammates and the South Carolina players followed Harbor walked out of the tunnel seconds after the touchdown, an officer bumped through the players before turning around to say something to them angrily.

The Dallas Police Department had been shrinking for years, losing more officers than they hired ‒ and competition for recruits was fierce.
Then the hiring woes got even more dire in the fall of 2024, when voters passed a proposition that required the force have at least 4,000 officers, hundreds more than it had even at its peak in 2010.
So the department tried a new recruiting strategy: Make it easier to hire by dropping the requirement that applicants have college credits under their belt.
“In a perfect world, would you want police officers to be college educated? Absolutely, but this is where policing is now,” said Chuck Wexler, executive director of the Police Executive Research Forum. “There simply is more demand for police officers – for qualified police officers – than there is a supply.”

Deputy Brian Dasher charged with third-degree felony of misuse of official information
A Waller County sheriff’s deputy who lives in Fort Bend County and who was indicted last month on a felony offense had been fired from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office in 2016, according to a report..
A Fort Bend County grand jury indicted Brian David Dasher in November on a third-degree felony of misuse of official information.
He is accused of illegally sharing someone’s Social Security number. Dasher, 38, was a sheriff’s deputy for the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office for seven years before he was fired in 2016, according to information obtained by The Herald through the Texas Public Information Act.
Those documents reveal Dasher had been disciplined for engaging in a relationship with another sheriff’s office employee without properly notifying his supervisors as required by department regulations.

The documents also reveal that Dasher had assured his supervisor that he was no longer in a relationship with the dispatcher, but later rekindled the relationship without once again informing his superiors and for which his employment was terminated on July 19, 2016.
Dasher was a sergeant with the patrol division at the time of his termination, according to the records The Herald received. Dasher had started with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department on Feb. 15, 2010, under then-Sheriff Milton Wright and continued to serve in that capacity when Troy Nehls became sheriff in 2012.
