LaKethia Connor currently is the city secretary of Prairie View. One of Connors jobs she’s the (PIO) Public Information Officer for City of Prairie View.
In the last two years LaKethia Connor has refused to be transparent with the public by not following the law by not releasing public records. LaKethia Connor is basically getting paid by the taxpayers not to fulfill her obligation as a public servant in Prairie View.
LaKethia Connor by law has 10 days to respond to a requestor asking for public records. If LaKethia Connor believes that certain information shouldn’t be released because of privacy, she has 15 days to ask the Texas Attorney General’s Office for a ruling before releasing the records.
Prairie View hasn’t has a city manager nor a city attorney in over two years. That leaves LaKethia Connor able to break the law and steal from the taxpayers. She doesn’t act very much like a Christian.
LaKethia Connor thinks she is above the law and doesn’t have to follow the law. Instead she ignores citizens who are trying to oversee their government to see of any “wrongdoing.”
Why? What is LaKethia Connor hiding and who is tellinh her not to release public records?

The citizens in Texas, in delegating authority, do not give their public servants the right to decide what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to know. The people insist on remaining informed so that they may retain control over the instruments they have created.

In Texas the Public Information Act (PIA) enhances our First Amendment rights and directly benefits society because information obtained under the law could expose government “wrongdoing” and it should make a person wonder just what dirty deeds is LaKethia Connor covering up that the city of Prairie View has done?
